‘live at the temple of art and music’ is the first live album by THE KID AND I, released on december 6th 2024
recorded in august of 2023 during one of THE KID AND I’s residency shows at the temple of art and music in elephant & castle, london, the album sees jacob powell on vocals and guitar, ma’lek on bass and backing vocals, minky très-vain on lead guitar and backing vocals, and elvis quagliotto on drums
the live show featured songs from THE KID AND I’s back-catalogue, as well as songs that were not yet released as of the recording of the live show such as ‘wonder’
the live album starts with the band’s classic ‘fade away’, a staple in the band’s live performances, before blitzing through fan-favourites such as ‘good times go’ and ‘white feather’
ending the album are three songs: ‘innovator’, ‘free falling’, and ‘cynic’, which the band have fondly dubbed ‘the trio of death’
